  Diversified Woodcrafts Completes New Addition  

Diversified Woodcrafts had completed work on a 15,000 square foot addition to their plant. Despite additions of 4,000 and 6,000 square feet the last two years, Diversified reached maximum capacity for the summer months in 2007. The plant is now 65,000 square feet under roof. Coupled with the small storage buildings outside the plant, it brings the total square footage to 72,000 square feet. This addition provides enough manufacturing space to take us through the next five years of projected growth. According to plant manager, Greg McClure “The 15,000 sq ft addition includes 2 additional loading bays and warehouse space. We will be able to bring off site storage back to our main building, which is so vital for us. In the past it was necessary to store product a few blocks away from our main building and transport that product daily as needed. It is exciting to know we will eliminate that need with this build. The addition also improves our staging area for truckload shipments, extends the manufacturing portion of the plant for continued growth, and provides more room for office expansion in the future. It really supports the "Lean Manufacturing" or continuous improvement culture here at Diversified Woodcrafts. “

  Cheryl Thompson Promoted to Project Manager  

Cheryl Thompson has accepted the position of Project Manager with Diversifieds casework division. Cheryl started with Diversified in 2007 as a casework customer service representative. Her talents for multitasking and ease with customer makes her a perfect fit for her new position.

  Kelly Fisher Hired As Marketing Coordinator  

The position of marketing coordinator has been filled with the hiring of Kelly Fisher. Kelly brings many years of experience to this newly created position. Her past employers include both manufacturers and ad agencies and she is proficient in managing projects from the concept stage to implementation. Diversified customers will benefit from the various selling tools, including training videos Kelly will produce for the company.

  Diversified Woodcrafts Announces Changes in Customer Service  

* Brenda Johnson on her new role as Customer Service Rep. / Estimator. Brenda has taken on this additional role as an estimator for the Standard Catalog line. Brenda has proven herself over and over again with her abilities to appease the customer and she also has great working relationships with dealers, they really enjoy working with her. With this additional role it will just enhance her capabilities in helping our customers from start to finish. * Joann Wilber. She has accepted the Customer Service Rep./Estimator position and will now join Brenda full time in helping our dealers on a daily basis. Joann has done a fantastic job as our receptionist and with her plant knowledge it will make this transition a positive one for our dealers and customers. * Jodi Anderson. She has accepted the Receptionist/Customer Service Position. We are very excited to have Jodi join our team. With her outgoing and upbeat personality she is sure to win over our dealers & customers and with her plant knowledge will be the perfect addition to our department. She has proven herself to be an asset to our company and we are happy that she has chosen to join our team. Please congratulate these people when you see them. They have done a fantastic job and will continue to be of great service to our customers.
